I No Longer Live in Japan
The title says it all. I no longer live in Japan. After five (and eight for hubby) wonderful years, we finally left Japan, and moved to Canada. Another emigration for me, a repatriation for hubby.
We moved to hubby's hometown, Saint John, New Brunswick. If you have never heard of it before, don't worry, I never had either, until I met my husband. But if said "Donald Sutherland", "Louis B. Mayer of MGM", or "Anne Of The Green Gables", or "McCain potatoes", would you recognize them? These are some of what Saint John or New Brunswick is famous for. Donald Sutherland was born in Saint John. In fact, a while ago, we ate at a local restaurant and I could have sworn that the waiter looked like Kiefer Sutherland, but way much younger. Maybe they're related, who knows? I never did ask him. Anyway, among what Saint John is famous for, I am mostly proud that Donald Sutherland is from here. In fact, he is still Canadian to this day and if you check Wikipedia, it says that he was born in Saint John. And.. in fact (again), if you look at this blog's background picture, that's me standing in front of Donald Sutherland and the other famous people from Saint John.
My latest update was like... in 2013? How terrible I am. I am a terrible blogger. And you will read the same "mom excuses" again from me. It's just because.. [insert "mom excuses" here, anything you can think of]. But now our boy is in Kindergarten, I have more time for me, I have new life adventures in a new place, I have a stack of old journals of my old life in Japan that I have yet written and might be good to share, so I guess I just have to update my blog again.
